USAF Introductory Flight Training program is
designed to introduce the student to the basics of becoming a pilot. West Air Aviation
provides the training for the USAF Officer to attain his FAA Private Pilot License. This
rating is required for the student continuing into the more intense USAF flight training
program.
Upon receiving an FAA Private Pilot License, the certificated pilot enters the USAF SUPT
program for becoming an Air Force Pilot.
The Air Force training will lead to "Heavies" such as bombers, personnel
transports similar to the major airlines aircraft, or other related type aircraft, OR
training will qualify them to fly Fighter Aircraft.
