The new ILS arrival is active as of Dec 22 2005. The approach procedure will put aircraft on the entry legs to the final approach fix directly over the northwest practice area. In order that we may operate in the limited space available in the Las Vegas valley, the local flight schools have restructured the practice area into three areas - A, B, and C. The main area of concern is the A (Alpha) area. This area has a self imposed ceiling of 4500 feet MSL.
