WEST AIR AVIATION INC.  is located at the North Las Vegas (VGT) airport. West Air Aviation Inc. began the flight training business in February 2009. North Las Vegas airport is one of four airports owned and operated by Clark County - Department of Aviation. Construction of the newest designed FAA tower was completed May 2002 providing the most current technology for air traffic control. The ILS approach along with the existing GPS approach provide instrument training.

FLIGHT TRAINING ENVIRONMENT is excellent for the student pilot or pilots adding ratings to their FAA Pilot License. The airport has a FAA control tower and radar services. Las Vegas' McCarran International Airport, one of the 10 busiest airports in the Nation, is located within ten miles. Flight training in the Class B area of McCarran enables the student pilot to fly into the busiest airport with full confidence. Radio communications with ground control improves the pilots confidence in flying busy airspace, such as Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, New York, and Denver.

OUR FLEET  of Cessna 172 aircraft provides the student with the availability of aircraft for their flight training, and aircraft rental. Many are have been painted to a standard fleet color, Garmin 430 GPS', lighted panels and more. Our 200 horse power engine Piper Arrow provide training for Commercial Ratings.

FINANCING FOR YOUR FLIGHT TRAINING is available. Our student affairs office is able to assist with loans for your training. The loans can be used for a single rating, such as Private Pilot, or for the entire program for all ratings.

 GLOBAL AVIATION DEGREE CENTER allows you ability to achieve a college education on line, and complete your flight training at West Air in preparation to enter a Professional Career in Aviation. UVU offers several levels of study. You may apply for a two year Associate Degree in Aviation, or a Bachelors of Science Degree in Aviation. A college degree is required by the Regional/Connector Airlines and the Major Airlines. Your enrollment with UVU and flying at West Air Aviation, Inc. allows you to complete your goal of flying and receiving your degree without leaving Las Vegas.

INTRODUCTORY FLIGHT certificates from BE A PILOT are honored at West Air Aviation. If you want to take an Intro Flight, you may call call us directly to schedule your flight. The cost is only $99.00. You will get to sit in the pilot seat and take the controls, under the direction of an Instructor.
