West Air Aviation has designed the programs below including Private Certificated, Instrument Rating, Commercial Certificated, Multi-Engine Rating, Certificated Flight Instructor (CFI), Certificated Flight Instructor - Instrument (CFII),   and Multi-Engine Instructor (MEI) based on FAR Part 61 Flight Training requirements. Under Part 61 the listed ground school classes are not required as long as the student completes the text material themselves and pass the FAA Written Examination. These are the minimum requirements required by the FAA Regulations. Most students require more training than listed depending on the the students abilities to achieve the FAA Proficiency Test Standards (PTS).

Our ground school uses the Cessna Pilot Center CD Training Kits for
Private Pilot, Instrument Rating, and Commercial Rating.
These CPC CD Training Kits may be purchased separate of the flight training programs. This allows the
student to begin with the ground training prior to enrolling in the flight training portion.
